Data processing and Freedom

In the strict respect for the medical secret, our establishment analyzes data collected for each of its patients and gets from it statistics.

During their stay, except opposition motivated by their part, some information concerning them will be the subject of a computer recording exclusively reserved to the management of administrative and medical data bound to the patient, concerning all the stages of the stay, in application of the Order of July 22, 1996 concerning the collection and the data processing of medical activity aimed at the article L710-6 of the Code of the Health service.

According to the medical deontology and to the clauses of the law " Data processing and Liberties ", in particular in articles 34 and 40 of the Law of January 06, 1978, every patient can exercise a right of access and rectification with the doctor responsible for the medical information, Mrs Marie Paule REMY PLANQUES MD, through the practitioner having established the file.

Every doctor appointed by the patient can also inquire into the file as a whole.

Charter of the hospitalized patient

The establishments of health guarantee the quality of treatments, care and reception.
They are attentive to the relief of the pain. Information given to the patient must be accessible and loyal.

The patient takes part in the therapeutic choices which concern him. A medical act can be practised only with the free and well-informed consent of the patient. A specific consent is planned notably for the patients participating in a biomedical search, for the donation and the use of elements of the human body and for the acts of detection.

The hospitalized patient can, at any time, leave the establishment save statutory exceptions, after having been informed about the possible risks that he incurs.

The hospitalized person is treated obligingly. His faiths are respected.

His intimacy must be protected as well as his tranquillity.

The respect for private life is guaranteed to every hospitalized patient as well as the confidentiality of the personal, medical and social information that concern him.

The patient has access to information contained in his file notably of medical nature through a practitioner whom he chooses freely.

The hospitalized patient expresses his observations on care and reception and has the right to ask for repair of the damages which he would estimate to have undergone.

Conciliation committee

In application of the prescription n°96346 of April 24, 1996, an conciliation committee exists within the establishment.

It can be seized by every patient. It has to assist you, to examine the demands of repair for the damage of which you would consider yourself victim because of the activity of the establishment and to give you the explanations that you wait for by pointing out the ways of appeal in your possession.

You can seize this committee by getting in touch with the General Manager of the clinic.

Formalities

Arrival
On your arrival, you have to appear at the reception, sign the various indispensable documents and necessarily hand us the following document :
-Only if you are part of the European Communities, you can get the E112 document thanks to the preliminary agreement application that we will send you a month before the operation (not the E111 which is not accepted). Thus, you will be able to pay only one part of the expenses.

Departure
The date of your departure will be fixed by the surgeon.
You will be able to come out after you fill formalities and complete your file at the office of the departures which is at your disposal from 9:00 am in the hall of reception.

As part of the complete hospitalization, this coming out will be made in the morning.

Inside regulation

Telephone: It is possible to communicate with the outside from 8 a.m till 9 p.m by direct line (a personal code of call is given to you from your arrival). After this schedule, only urgent communications will be accepted. All your outside phone communications will have to be paid to the secretariat, the day of your going out of the clinic. They are booked automatically.

Visits: The Clinic is open from 8 a.m till 8 p.m to all the visitors. Not to disturb the rest of the patients, we ask you to respect this limit hour of visit, the doors of the establishment being closed beyond. To avoid noise and contagion to the operated persons, the children of less than twelve years and the persons having a cold or the flu can not be admitted to the hospitalization services .

Persons gone with the patients: In the single rooms, the persons gone with the patients have a bed at their disposal. In the double rooms, they can sleep on a rest bed from the beginning of the hospitalization to the night following the intervention, that is 3 nights for the maximum. They will be able to have their breakfast served in the rooms of the patients. A cafeteria which is open from 8:3O a.m to 8:30 p.m is also at their disposal. If they want a rest bed or to have their breakfast served in the room of the person that they accompany, they have to inform the night staff who takes its service at 8 p.m of it. These services will be noted on the leaflet contained in the file delivered to the patient and will be charged at the end of the stay. In the interest of the patients, people are asked not to make any noise to avoid harmful sound traumatism for the operated ears. Trays served at the cafeteria can not be carried in the rooms of hospitalization.

Drinks: For the patients, a beverage is served in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m(except Sunday). Distributors of mineral water and drinks are at your disposal in the corridors connecting wings D and E ( near every infirmaries) and for the wing C near the reception of the hotel. Ask the staff if necessary.

Television: The patients hospitalized in double room can get a remote control at the reception of the clinic.

Linen: not to depreciate the aesthetic aspect of the clinic, it is forbidden to dry the linen out of doors.

Services: A space "Presents" (books, linen, regional products) welcomes you in the salon of the hotel " Via Domitia " situated in a wing of the establishment, A hairdresser is at the disposal of the operated patients and the other persons on the first level (level 1) of the wing C of the clinic (phone: 6210). You can profit by care practised in the rooms of hospitalization by: - a beautician (phone 04.67.37.65.06 ) - one pedicurist (reception phone: 9) - one physiotherapist (ask the nurses). - Cult: You will find an oratory near the room of conferences (in the first floor of the wing C).

Parking: A free, not guarded parking, is at your disposal around the clinic. We decline any responsibility in case of incident. You can also use a paying garage, with guarding, independent from the clinic and of which fixing of a price scale is for the discretion of the owner. The staff of the reception will inform you more exactly if you wish .

Values - The Management is not responsible for thefts committed inside the establishment. It is strongly recommended to deposit at the reception, against a receipt, money, the values, jewels etc...before 6 p.m. This service being closed from Friday 5 p.m to Monday 09 a.m, take your precautions if you want to get back deposited values.

Shuttle: There is a free shuttle between the clinic and the S.N.C.F.railways station and the centre of BEZIERS. This service is not insured on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.

Taxi: If you wish a taxi, the reception (phone: 9) will do its best to obtain one as soon as possible.
At the end of the hospitalization-. The last day, the departure from the clinic is made in the morning.

Cost of hospitalization

The Jean CAUSSE ear clinic is linked to the bodies of health insurance and with some mutual insurance companies. If you are part of the European Communities, you can get the E112 document thanks to the preliminary agreement application that we will send you a month before your operation. Thus, the operation and anaesthesia expenses will be directly refunded to us by the National Health Care Insurance of Béziers, at its responsability rate, which enables you not to pay the entire cost of hospitalization and of operation.

Stay at your expense: the daily fixed price, the supplements of fees of the doctors (and of the anaesthesist if necessary), the antiphones helmets and molded tips if necessary, as well as supplements for which you will have asked: single room, telephone, TV, mineral water, possibly supplementary beds.

If you cannot get the E112 document or if you do not belong to the European Communities, you will have to pay yourself the clinic, the operation and anaesthesia expenses (you will find an enclosed estimate in your mail).

Cost of stay
We inform you that since April 1st, 1983, the government have decided to deduct, for each patient, a compulsory share in the expenses of the stay, which is of 70 Francs per day.
